We're a network of disciple-making communities (we also call them gardens) committed to proclaiming the good news of Jesus where we live, learn, work, and play.
Disciple-making communities (DMCs) are small spiritual families that live their daily lives together, sharing the gospel within their sphere of influence. They are led by regular people, not paid church leaders, and they take on Jesus' mission in their communities. For some, this means focusing on a specific group of people or culture. For others, it means connecting with people in their neighborhood.
Within The Cultivate Network, we operate through a two-part structure: a mission hub and a decentralized network. Our mission hub empowers everyday individuals to become compassionate missionaries and effective disciple-makers in diverse settings. As new disciples emerge in these contexts, so do DMCs.
When four to six DMCs form within a specific region or affinity group, they are connected into what we call Collectives or Garden Cities. These Collectives share elders, missions, and resources, fostering a strong, unified community.
By working together, we build a dynamic and supportive environment where everyone can grow and thrive in their faith journey.
To make disciples of Jesus and saturate the Twin Cities region with the good news of Jesus.
Our 10-year vision is to plant 250 disciple-making communities (gardens) teamed into 50 hyper-local or affinity-based collectives (garden cities) served by 10 mission hubs.
